A 1913 photograph of Nestor-Christie Studios, which by that point had become part of Universal Pictures. The building had previously been a saloon. Harold Lloyd and Fatty Arbuckle are amongst the stars who made their first films here.
The company remained on the site until the early 1930, one of the many businesses to fall fall victim of the Stock Market Crash of 1929. It spent a few years as a rental lot before being demolished to make way for CBS Columbia Square.
